All I can say is "WOW" this series definitely gets your blood racing. This book is my favorite in the series...because who wouldn't love "the hero" in your series. I like this particular one because both Geoff and Slade want to memorize if you will the subtle nuances of a woman's body. Bravo to you excellent series.

I love that the dynamic in their relationships tends to roll in to their lives outside the club. Their whole relationship is based on trust and communication which is one of the greatest things you need in a great relationship. The great sex is nice too!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Geoff blew my mind. Cassidy is amazing. The scenes are off the charts hot! Definitely one of my favorites from the series.
I have to admit that I am enjoying the series but with reserve. If you remove all the over the top/semi cruel punishments, the overall story is amazing. I have downloaded all 6 books. The problem I have with these books are a lot of words missing from sentences, many times you have to read the sentence a couple times to figure out what she is saying. A lot of little typo errors also. there are names of the characters switched around, Devlon/Devon Sanders(don't remember how to spell his name) was called Devlon Sutton (that is Ivanka's last name) there were a couple times in the stories that happened with various characters, it also happened in book 2, book 3 and book 4. The author can't seem to keep her characters straight. Instances of miss use of words in a sentence, "has been instead of have been" retread instead of retreat. I know these are little mistakes but to the reader it often ruins the story when you have to figure out what is happening. Editors not doing a good job will always ruin a good book.
The other problem I have with the series, is they are all the SAME. yes a different Dom and Sub, the sub always has a different background. But the owner Rourk always coerces the sub to join the training program, always fails to give out all the information until she signs. The Training Dom always pushes/forces her to change HER limit list. So is it her list or his? The Dom always snags the sub first thing, always reminds her of her safeword but at the same time tells her how disappointed he will be if she uses it. The same words are used in each book its almost like a copy & past, during the time Rourk and the Training Dom are going over the papers and limit list. The same "this doesn't work for me" is used when she says no to a limit and is forced to change her mind. What happened to SSC? The Dom always collars the sub as HIS early on and yes its a HEA but how about changing it up? its like reading the same book 4 times only with a new D/s. Each book has a bit of drama not much but...
as a bit of spoiler on this one, Rourk is afraid Geoff will scare off his chef and is relieved when her punishment is lessened. Why not change up the story and make it different from the previous books and actually have her resign and leave? but no its the same as the rest.. The author is stuck on a path and has all the books on the same line. Don't worry about buying each one, just go back and change the names each time and you have the next story in the series. Very disappointed, if I had to pay for these, I would have stopped after the 2nd one, with them being a KU, its no cost and something to read. The punishments are just as over the top/cruel, the way the sub is treated is the same, the sadistic Dom's are the same, the rules are the same, the one-sided communication is the same. The Dom's interfere in the sub's daily life and work, but yet the sub lets them and doesn't get the chance to speak up. I understand the D/s relationship is as a protector but come on if the Dom pulls the DOM persona during her work and interferes, that is crossing a line.
Okay, I get that this is fiction and to us in the lifestyle this is our fairytale. A handsome and wealthy Dom who loves his subbie and has a whole community at hand that is "family". That is the dream, isn't it...
However, this whole series is just making me rethink my fairytale. Every story (and this is number 4) is the same. Every guy calls every other guy "Bud". I'd even be happy with a "bro" now and then, but all we get it...bud.
All the females are reluctant to be submissive. And the men, who apparently have never seen a female before, all salivate over any new female introduced.
With all the books the first man to see the female lays claim and female resists for 5 minutes before giving in. Kink ensues. Lots of good fun kink. That's why the 3 stars.
Drama happens. And I'm about to paraphrase here. "0h no, anal plugs. Stop"
"Anal plugs, yes. Deal with it. We will have the anal sex. Then we will have a three some. Stop biting your lip. I love you. You will move in with me and marry me."
"Oh no, but we've literally only known each other a week. Okay this seems reasonable."
"Wow, (insert pet name here) you sure do have a lot of clothes and shoes. I hope my two dogs are okay with it".
"Well, I'm a girl."
....and scene.
The men are all wealthy and brilliant and the top in their fields and all live so close to each other and the women.... boy oh boy... I can only imagine that even they would be able to stand up to Caroline Bingley's assessment of what a true lady is.
Or maybe I feel like all the books are the same because I'm pretty sure that I've read this series already by either Cherise Sinclair or Sophie Oak and they both created worlds that were wild and fun and nobody was called "Bud"
Absolutely loved the story but author needs a lesson in English grammar. Inappropriate use of past, present and future tense throughout book. Have to wonder if author speaks English at all. Surely sad because it is a great story and series Please find some one to check your use of grammar.
Thinking she had the right to protect herself after being attacked in the kitchen of the club where she was a part time employee. Sentenced to fifty lashes for the crime of having a self protection instinct. It goes down hill from there
